The Database Administrator's role is to ensure the ongoing operation and optimization of the organization's database assets.
This includes ensuring the organization is taking advantage of modern technologies and techniques and is focusing on cost savings opportunities.
Requirements:
Qualifications B.
Sc.
Honors (or higher) and experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence tools Minimum five (5) years of related experience with the following:
Microsoft SQL Server Administration Strong understanding of Microsoft SQL Server licensing for both on-premise and Azure deployments Strong understanding of SQL Server deployment options within Microsoft Azure Experience migrating on-premise SQL Server instances to Microsoft Azure Experience optimizing a SQL environment balancing both cost and performance.
Experience managing, maintaining, and performance turning SQL Server databases Skills and Characteristics Committed to the delivery of high-quality products and services to business users at all organizational levels Highly self-motivated and self-directed - can operate with minimal oversight Ambition to improve self and team in knowledge, ability and efficiency Ability to conduct research into data management issues, practices, and products as required Highly effective communication skills Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment Demonstrates integrity and accountability in words and actions Quick Apply.
